Day After

Whew!

It was a big Christmas Day/PolyBear's birthday

all my friends came by.

and we had lots of good stuff.

Does anyone else's tummy hurt a little?

Mine does.

and

There were lots of presents.

We stayed up late every night.

Da had to get up early for work today
so I got up to have chocolate milk and toaster toast with him.
Except he had coffee. How he drinks that stuff, I'll never know.
I had Frazzleberry Jelly on my toast.

He is gone now and I could use a nap.

Yawn.

1 Day Left - A Baby was Born

And the baby was born in a stable

because there was no room for him in the inn.

In the silence of that Holy Night, Mary gave birth
and wrapped the child in swaddling cloths
and placed him in a manger.

***

And in that same country

There were shepherds watching over their flocks
and an Angel of the Lord came to them and said
"Behold, I bring you tidings of great joy.
A savior is born in Bethlehem"

And the shepherds came and found the baby in the manger
just as the Angel had said

***

And in Persia to the east of Bethlehem there were Magi

Astrologers who saw
a star in Juda and told each other,
"We must go and worship this king, which the star fortells"

And they traveled to Bethlehem and found the baby.

And they brought gifts with them and gave them to the baby

Gold - the gift a King would give to a King.
Frankincense - the Holy fragrance associated with God
Myrrh - a soothing balm of healing

***

Oh what a Wonderful and Holy Happening
We celebrate on this silent night.

Apparently the Big Guy is getting ready

NASA diverted one of their "eye in the sky" Spy
Satellites over the North Pole today and picked up this image.

Yep that is exactly what you think it is.

The sleigh appears to be all loaded
and the reindeer team seems to be all hitched up and ready.

Good job of winter camouflage
on the big guy's headquarters. If you look closely,
you'll notice the outline of the main building is
dimly indicated to the right of the sleigh
in this High-Res aerial photo.

Although you can barely make out the shape of the buildings,
there is no mistaking that red sleigh and those reindeer.

Looks like they have a good shot
for a smooth takeoff toward the top of this photo.

Old Santa should have no problems
getting the rig into the air as long as the weather holds.

Wonder if he has anything loaded in his magic bag
for a certain PolyBear who has tried as hard
as he can to be good for at least a week now.

I didn't know he kept a Naughty/Nice
list and evidently checks it multiple times.

How could no one have told me that?

2 More Days - White Christmas!

Da says it's not going to happen.

I say Razzle Frazzle!

I loves me some snow

This was a few years back

and it wasn't Christmas

But it was frosty cold and I loved it.

especially the Hot chocolate
and cookies when we came back inside.

So Santa bring some snow with you
when you come by my house.

Please!

Cause old Scrooge McDa says
It's not going to happen this year.

Looks like it snowed green at their house.

And bears! In Christmas Blue!

With presents!
(and a nice hat)

Cheesy?

Sure!

Overdone?

Of course!

But ya gotta love it!

Only 4 More Days Until Santy's Day - I'm not so sure this is Legit

Oh bring us some Figgy Pudding.
Oh bring us some Figgy Pudding.
Oh bring us some Figgy Pudding,
and bring it right here.

We won't go until we get some.
We won't go until we get some
We won't go until we get some,
so bring it right here.

Here is a PolyBear kind'a question.

Have you see this stuff?

Caution!

Children and Faint Hearted folks warning!

View at own risk!

Jeepers!

Are they serious?

They must have hired a Mess Sargent
from the Albanian Army as their cook
in that house.

I can write a much better song.

Oh bring us some tater totsees

Oh bring us some Fishey Sticksees

and bring us some Chocolate Cakesees

with a mug of Root Beer

Now there's a Christmas Song
I can get excited about singing!

5 Days Left - Legend of The Dancing Trees

Once upon a time, Christmas trees stood in silence
while their owners admired their beauty.

and as soon as, let's use the names
"Mumzie and Da"
as general representations
of the people in this tale, went to bed,
the trees would begin their
nightly dance of Christmas Joy.

The people never knew about the dance.
They only saw the still silence of the trees

In fact they noticed nothing
other than a tree just staning there
but regardless, the trees continued their
nightly dance each night
after the lights were turned out.

OK Da, just because you can't see them,
doesn't indicate that I am wrong in any way.

By the way, I sold this story to National Enquirer
and they have a photographer coming by tomorrow.
They promised page one with
a five color photo of a certain polybear.

I am still in negotiations with "Ghost Whisperers"
on the Discovery Channel and "13 Christmas Ghost Stories" on TLC.

If my Nelsons are high enough, Food Network
has promised a six episode waffle throwdown
between me and that Bobby Flavor guy.

6 days left - Gingerbread Houses

 We made one

Uh, Mumzie did

Da watched for the most part (duh)

and I provided very much need
construction management and supervision services.

The decorations were my idea

I thought the tree in the front yard was a nice touch
and what house worth having
doesn't need a wreath on the door?

and a snowman in the yard?

Da was in charge of keeping
his thieving hands
away from the gumdrops.

***

Da says you shouldn't take a photo straight on.

I say he should get a clue
and go do something
he knows something about.

Ho, Ho, Ho!

7 days left - Charlie Brown

Da says it isn't Christmas until he has seen Charlie Brown

Uh, he doesn't mean seeing him on the street,
you know?

He means seeing his Christmas Special.

What was the name of that Special?

Oh Yeh

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Staring Charlie Brown!

Here is the plot, in case you are
the only person on planet Earth and
the 6 known inhabited star systems
who has never seen it.

You see, in the movie, it is Christmas
and Charlie goes out to buy a tree

He winds up with a kind'a sad little tree
I think he may have known that no one else wanted it.

His friends all had other stuff on their minds
and that made Charlie sad

He sought out Psychiatric help
and all he accomplished there
was learning that he was a blockhead.

Then his best bud, Linus explained all of it
when he told the story about a baby born in a manger
on Christmas Eve Night.

Charlie learned it was about more than trees

In fact, everyone learned

Even SnoopyDog

I learned too.
