Remember, Safety Second

This just in from Interested blog reader Burtrom Pittsguy

Some People from Massachetuchettes Are Really Dumb:

LinkyDink

A couple carrying a 3-week-old baby into a cornfield maze at a Massachusetts farm called 911 when they were unable to find their way out.

(only partially shown cause it's evidently so darkly scary)

"I don't see anyone, and I'm really scared, it's really dark and we got a 3-week-old baby with us," a woman told the 911 operator.

Sgt. Bob Bettencourt of the Danvers Police Department says the couple were only about 25 feet from the edge of the field but couldn't find their way out Monday evening.

After police officers arrived with tracker dogs, the 911 operator told the couple to shout "Hello, K-9" to guide the rescuers to their location.

The 42-year-old husband, who did not want to be identified, told The Boston Globe they called 911 around 7 p.m., about an hour after the maze closed when they realized they were the only ones inside.

Rich Potter of Connor's Farms, which runs the maze, told WHDH some people have gotten lost over the years but none called police.

"It's got to be a challenger, otherwise it's not fun," he said.

I has a challenge for this couple:

Find your way out of this

and I'll personally contribute $0.25 to my favorite charity, "Lost Children of the Corn".

Poor Baby - Stuck for life....

I has received a request to warn all of you about the dangers of Corn Mazes, so here it comes:
"Be very careful which Mumzie and Da you go into a corn Maze with, cause they might call the 911 PoPo line when they gets lost 25 feet from the edge and you will be with them when they is saved by yelling 'we is here' at a dog and the news crews show up."
