over the ocean

and

everyone likes puppies.

So

I

a sunset

over the ocean

complete with a

puppy.

Sure wish he would
move over just a tad.

And  I resent

you suggesting that I might have.

What's The Deal With Dogs and Balls?

I guess I understand Dogs.

They are noble beasts

that have been around a long time.

They are friends to man, who know their place

and then someone pulls out a

ball

and things go

bonkers.

They don't seem to want anything else when one is around.

The ball is all they care about.

The Ball, the Ball, The BALL

They must have it.

#1 importance to them

Obsessed?

I think so.

Ball Fanatics?

Passionate?

Apparently.

Happy Dogs

Dogs seem to handle being happy
better than anyone I know. They really
seem to enjoy life.

Taking a walk is fine with them.

Just hanging around? OK - we can do that.

Watch the world go by? No problem with that.

Want to play ball? Got you covered.

Nap time? I'll get right on that.

Eating? I'd love to.

Even if the menu is a little different today.

Dogs - always happy?

I think so.

Did you see the big dog?

On Yahoo the other day they had a story
about this really big dog.

His name is George and he is one big piece of dog meat.

Here is George's story

I am impressed (sor'ta)

But not totally, because I have found a
bigger dog than George.

He is a rare breed called
The Giant Chiwawa

This one stands about 26 feet tall.

(PolyBear inserted for comparson)

Big dog isn't he?

Do you know where a 26 foot tall dog sleeps?

Pretty much wherever he wants to.

I just tear myself up sometimes...

Mommie, can I keep him?

I've already named him.

everyone has a pet but me. I will take care of him.
He won't eat much.

I can feel his pain

Poor Guy

Breakfast time and no breakfast in sight. You patiently
wait, plate in hand,or in this case plate in mouth, because dogs
got no hands (duh). Anyhow, it grows later and later

(tick, tock, tick, tock)

and where the heck is Muzie with them waffles?
The least she could do is get her PolyBear a glass
of chocolate milk to tide him over don'cha think?

What?

That's not a plate that puppydog has?

What the heck is a frizbee? Is that like an omlet dish?
Because I don't like omlets all that much.

Anyhow. I wish Mumzie would get cracking with my waffles
because we're burning daylight here and I have rats to kill.

Wait, I hear rattling noises coming from the kitchen.

Later, guys.

Ever wish you had thought about it a little more?

before you did it?

Well,

This guy probably does

The dog, not Patrick.

(Duh)

When did the Absurdity Start

What absurdity?

The absurdity of walking a dog ...

InMyNotSoHumbleOpinion

Dogs are pretty capable of walking all by themselves

Lately I have been wondering when did people first
begin thinking they needed to walk their pet?

Longer back than that?

5000 years back?

Even further back than that?

Somehow this seems too far

But I could be wrong, because the fossel evidence
seems to point to the habit starting a long time ago,
as evidenced by this.

Puppies

Of course they're cute.

Make no mistake, there is no way I'd start

a puppies post without telling all of you that

you are probably correct when you say
your pup is the very best pooch around.
But do you know what the problem is?

Puppies grow up into

Dogs

OK, just a little humor to end a rainy Thursday.

I really love dogs.

There's no reason to send nasty e-mails that threaten
ZeroBear PolyBear, Information Services, LLC
with civil litigation, or to send protestors out to picket
Mumzie and Da's Driveway while channel 13 Nightly News
with Twink and Mindy records everything for their
10:00 pm broadcast.

Really.

Just kidding.

really...

Walking the Dog?

Dogs is OK, I guess, but I have never understood this walking the dog stuff.

As near as I can tell, most of them can walk all by themselves.
In fact they seem to enjoy walking, as you almost never see them driving around

or riding anywhere

I guess they sometimes hitch a ride

I think she uses velcro.

Mostly you see people walking their dog

sometimes people walk a bunch of dogs

I think this guy owns way too many pooches.

Show-off

Not a bad hat, though.

No, I'm talking about the one on the third dog from the right. I guess the one the guy is wearing looks nice, but I has three or four like that one already. As for me I likes the one most that Mumzie made for me that Da thinks she gave to him for his Birthday.

Peaches and Herb likes it too.
Sadly, they don't own any hats, cause Hamsters don't hear hats (duh).

I need to get back to walking dogs though.

Sometimes the dog walks the person

I think this is how they walk the dog in Ohio.

Evidently there is no age limit on how old a dog must be to take someone for a walk.

Or even who must be in charge of the walk.

They say it's good exercise.

For the walker and the walkee,

so

I decided I might take up this hobby.

Then I discovered to walk something, I needed something to walk (duh).

I tried to walk Fluffy Kitty

but he was uncooperative when I approached him with the leash

So I is persuing this exerhobby with other friends

Peaches took to the leash right away but Herb is still largely uncooperative.

I figure hamster walking will become the rage when peoples sees me doing it.

Heel Herb ... Heel Herb ... Herb! ... HERB!

I may have to send him to that hamster whisperer guy on Discovery Channel.
